For the time being, nothing happens. No financial imbalance.
No ticking time bomb. No bloody war to bloody fight.
It’s only TV stuff, spectacular stuff, and huff and puff on a scene.
People come. People go. The chief keeps on golfing.
For the time being, things may go on as they did before,
And things may stay full of noise without fury.
But things will slip slowly away, and something hard will
Eventually happen to this unhinged TV show of ours.
