they used to drive themselves crazy where the
village river runs underground where people stop
drinking from the wells on account of the trapped
critters stuck through the rotten twist
and they consumed news-shine and each
sounded like the same dude who the little girl
said he was chasing her in the woods
this is a true story told by those who would stay put
and cannot really win but can really try
I know each of us was part of a family
with tangled roots after all and we could
have been great people but we mistook voice
for truth and ended up wishing to be
divided by zero and thus needed the country’s software
like a crutch for a molehill which blocked the view.
