It matters not how big the world was when I woke up
But rather how large it was when I went to sleep,
It matters not how much there was to start with
But rather what was added and what was left intact.
It matters not who I was nor who I could have been,
But rather what I did when I needed to act and
What I didn’t do when I stood still.
It matters not how long there is to wait,
I’ll wait anyway and be glad for the wait.
It matters not what love was
But rather what I told you when you were here,
And what we left out when we thought better.
