People with whom we share the road

People with whom we share the road speed up in closed angles,
We brake and swerve, we pant at the wheel and think about death.
Did I tell you how much I was scared as we drove along four lanes
Of congealed traffic ? Someone pulled out in front, a dead stare I saw,
We almost got rear ended at fatal speed. The constant equilibrium
Went from life to perfect ambiguity, cars loud as scarecrows.
And to scream was enough. We arrived, we loved each other into being.
